“How we communicate has the power to undermine
or the power to improve the relationships in our personal lives,
our work lives, and with ourselves”

– Mandi J Buckner

As a Peer Support Specialist, I balance the needs of employers for a productive workforce, with the needs of employees who are struggling at work OR who are in the midst of the return to work process.

I create presentations and facilitate workshops that help build resilient employees who are facing mental health challenges due to psychological injury, trauma or life stressors.

I use my personal experiences and extensive training to help others achieve their goals for wellbeing and recovery. I customize my delivery according to individual’s different learning styles, lived experiences, and the various industry sectors participants come from.

My work is grounded in the principles of adult learning. To improve workplace mental health literacy, I use Toward Recovery a 5-stage framework that helps employees navigate their return to work processes and maintain their wellbeing while at work. To support and enhance employee confidence we delve into the essential competencies needed for success in the 21st century.

My presentations and workshops cover a wide range of topics that will challenge the current practices of employers and employees equipping them with the skills, knowledge and awareness to improve productivity in a healthy workplace environment.
